“700 HP” Tesla Model S P85D vs Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

The Tesla Model S is definitely a car that came out of the gate much harder than most people had even thought to be possible. I mean, before the Tesla was around, what electric cars really were there that were anywhere near cool or, dare we say, fast? Long story short is that when it comes to these cars there wasn’t anything appealing about them outside of their economic and environmental benefits, however, when Tesla came onto the scene, showing off their wares, it would quickly become apparent that they would be hanging around for quite a while as not only an electric car that would prevent you having to go to the pump but also one that is pretty cool, if you ask most people, and packs a performance punch that not too many were expecting.

When you think about it at its core, much of that performance punch was due mostly to the fact that an electric motor can provide constant and on-demand torque and a lot of it. On the other hand, with the combustion engine, it will fluctuate and sometimes, it takes time for the power to build, meaning that down low, when you launch it, the car might not be as reliable but want to get up top, it can definitely make more power than electric motors make most of the time in this capacity. Long story short, when you combine these factors with the idea that the Tesla is an all-wheel-drive vehicle, the car really has a stout ability to dominate from a standstill race, also referred to as a “dig.”

This time, however, we check out the video as a Tesla Model S, heads out to a long strip of concrete that’s raring and ready for some roll racing to go down. The opponent here is none other than a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. Let’s just say that this competition is fierce and all of a sudden, that power from down low, for the Tesla, is not as potent thanks to the rolling start. Will the car be able to recover and use its power to come out on top anyway? Well, you’re about to find out.
