Ferrari Replicas Seized and Destroyed by Spanish Police

The authorities in Spain have released this footage of some very convincing – at least from the outside – Ferrari replicas being seized and dismantled.

The knock-offs certainly look the part, until the hood is popped and you take a closer look at the details. They even have a reasonably close version of the sweet Ferrari exhaust note, which can be heard as the cars are being transported to the police impound. As the teardown begins, we get a good look at just how different these cars are underneath the exotic skin, seemingly little more than disguised Toyota chassis of some kind.

With Toyota powerplants under the hood – which isn’t always a bad thing – and insane amounts of what appears to be expanding foam used to fill in the gaps between the car itself and it’s Italian disguise, it’s very clear these pretenders deserve to be demolished. We kind of wish they’d out the builders, too, because we want to know if they were selling them to unsuspecting buyers or just parading around in them pretending to be big timers!
