First Ever Drag Radial Car in the 3.60s, Record Broken 3x in the Same Night!

With each and every day, it seems like the familiar faces in drag radial racing are pushing what we can expect out of these tires to new highs. The most recent in record-breaking mayhem just so happened to go down at the Sweet 16 event, showcasing Radial versus the World cars that are absolutely destroying every shred of a record that stood around from last season, only just months into the new racing season. It’s pretty incredible to watch as these guys test the limits and show us how far they can be stretched before discarding them and putting up another wall of records. It looks like all of these guys want their shot at that $101k in prize money for themselves!

This time, we watch as Dewayne “Big Daddy” Mills becomes the first ever radial tire car to break into the 3.60 zone with a [email protected] but it wouldn’t be long before that record would fall with Steve Jackson Racing patiently waiting to knock home a [email protected]. Just when you thought that all was said and done and it would be a while before we saw the record fall, along came a [email protected] from Mark Micke, further showing just what’s possible on a set of radials. I guess that the major takeaway in a situation like this is to never expect these records to stand for long because before you know it, you’ll be looking at a 3.5 or deeper!

Free Life Films did a spectacular job of catching all the action as it unfolded in front of everybody’s eyes and you have absolutely got to see the footage. As these cars accelerate their way to well over 200 mph in times that are moving closer and closer to zero, the one thing that we can guarantee in this life is that you had better keep your eyes glued right on the action because you never know what’s going to happen next and when the next major record is going to fall.
