Make One Mistake On This Trail And You’re Done For!

There are narrow trails, and then there’s… this! These dirt bikers found an inches-wide route almond the top of these dirt ridges that makes for some butt-puckering tense moments, but they handle riding the ridge top like champs, at least until they don’t.

With a camera mounted atop his helmet, the follow rider had a great view of the trail and his buddy in the lead as they snake along the top of these formations. It’s hard to get a read on where they are, but the comments on the video’s original posting on Facebook seem to indicate it’s in Kansas, though I have to point out I’ve never seen dirt like this anywhere in Kansas. In the same breath, however, I’d have to admit I haven’t been anywhere in Kansas except for Topeka and that was two decades ago, so it’s not like I’m an expert on the types of dirt you may or may not find in the Sunflower State.

These guys definitely know how to handle their bikes as they race along the incredibly narrow peaks, following the snaky path with a great deal of precision as it wriggles beneath them. These are obviously pretty experienced riders, and even though the lead rider does eventually lose it and slide down, even the wipeout went about as well as it could have. You’d think if a rider lost it on the top of these ridges, he and the bike would be tumbling to the bottom for quite some time, likely ending with both of them sporting some pretty heavy damage. Instead, the lead rider kept his cool and simply let the bike wash out from under him and managed to keep it from tumbling down the hill.

We can’t really say for sure any of us should try this, but there are a couple of guys here who probably would. If that ever happens, we’ll make sure to have our cameras rolling as well, as that footage will likely be much more comical than this!
