When it comes to shopping for a vehicle, things can get a little bit complicated. It’s definitely an area where a buyer is going to have to figure out exactly what it is that they most desire. It might even be helpful to categorize what’s most important by making some sort of list. Do you want something that’s going to be able to pull a heavy load? Is the price an important part of the decision-making process?

All of these things and more could eventually play into the process of figuring out what kind of vehicle to buy.

This really brings up the question of if somebody can get an incredibly cheap vehicle that’s actually worth buying. By looking around, for $1000, it’s hard to buy very many vehicles worthwhile. The only thing that’s probably going to be plentiful at this price point is a basic car without many options.

However, if you want something beyond this basic “A to B” vehicle type, what’s out there?

As we have seen on YouTube time and time again, people who scour the classified ads have managed to come with some pretty cool rides. What we do have to say is that, on the heels of a lot of research, sometimes there are amazing deals to be found out there.

This time, we check in with a heavy-duty pickup truck in a GMC 3500 that YouTuber, A Rural Vermonter, picked up for just $1000. Our first thought is that most trucks in this price bracket will probably be pretty ragged out. However, as we get a good look at the truck and learn about the little work that it needs to get going again, it seems like this might be the deal of a lifetime.

After following along with this one, be sure to tell us about the best deal that you’ve ever managed to find on a vehicle.
