Daddy Dave vs The Yeti at Cash Days

Unless you were without power, out of the country, to living under a rock in the desert, if you’re on this website, you probably know that a new season of Discovery Channel’s hit show Street Outlaws kicked off Monday night with a two hour premiere featuring the always-electric Cash Days event. I’m going to tell you now, if you read further, and if you watch this video, there ARE SPOILERS for the season premiere if you haven’t seen it. Don’t get mad at me, you’ve been warned.

For those who may be new to the show, Cash Days is a winner-take-all shootout featuring some of the baddest cars to ever roll out on the streets. The event, which was the brainchild of “Limpy”, the man who worked the “headlight” as the starter for the event, and has typically taken place in or around the Fort Worth area. However, it would seem the authorities have decided they wanted to shut that down, so Limpy decided to move the event to the 405, which was obviously not a problem for the local guys we all know and love from the show.

Daddy Dave brought out Goliath to take a shot at the $50,000 purse, and drew Jace Andrade in the opening round. If you’ve watched the show since the beginning, you’ve seen Jace on the show a few times before, and he’s no stranger to Cash Days either. Both of these cars are quick, but as you saw on Monday’s episode, Dave was pretty confident he had more than enough power to take out The Yeti, Jace’s white fox body Mustang.

The video doesn’t actually say who won, but if you saw the race the other night on TV, you already know and if you know anything about these two cars, I’ll just tell you the car that should have won, did. That’s not a knock at all on Jace and the Yeti, as he laid down a solid pass that would have taken the win if Dave had shook or spun, and when it comes to small tires, the Yeti is always a contender.
