Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Running Footage

Running footage of Dodge Challenger SRT with HEMI Hellcat engine. No music, no talking over it just pure and raw muscle car sounds! A new Challenger SRT ‘Hellcat’ is available. It utilizes Chrysler’s first supercharged HEMI V8 engine. The engine will be 6.2 liters with 707 horsepower and 650 lb/ft of torque. Chrysler claims that this makes the Challenger SRT Hellcat “the most powerful muscle car ever.” The inner driving light on the front has been removed to allow air to get into the engine. Also the wheel wells are different from the standard SRT to accommodate the 20-inch aluminum wheels. The SRT Hellcat will come equipped with two separate key fobs; use of the “black” fob will limit engine output to 500 horsepower, while the “red” fob will enable the full output capability.

With a 707-horsepower, supercharged V-8 under the hood, we knew the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was going to be quick, but the official quarter mile times for the car are simply epic. With its available Pirelli P Zero tires, the latestDodge muscle car will run the quarter mile in just 11.2 seconds with a 125 mph trap speed. Add drag radials, however, and you’re looking at time of just 10.8 seconds at 126 mph. Yes, the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat is a 10-second car… from the factory.
