You’d Have to be Crazy to Ride in One of These Drag Racing Go-Karts

When it comes to going fast, there are two main characteristics. We look at the power and we look at the weight. Sure, it might be in layman’s terms but minimizing weight and maximizing power will have you flying!

For those trying to go as fast as possible, there is definitely a lot of potentials that can be left on the table in weight savings. Lots of people simply want to make gobs of power and forget about the rest of the equation. This might work but the opposite in a nimble, lightweight platform without a ton of power can work as well.

Fortunately, in this situation, these guys don’t really have to worry about all that. Straight from the jump, they’re almost as light as it gets. That doesn’t stop these go-karting madmen from throwing power at their lightweight platforms, anyway! This looks like an absolute blast.

These guys bring something different to the table when they roll up to the starting line at their drag strips of choice. Some of these karts are the real deal as they rocket down the quarter-mile in a hurry. In fact, some of them are even quicker than most cars. It takes quite the level of commitment to crack into the single-digit range in the quarter-mile with such a small machine. That’s right, some of these things are running 9s or better!

We follow along with the video below that takes us inside of a couple of awesome go-kart passes. These passes really put on a show as the machines roll quickly to the finish!
