Allow us to paint a picture for you. Imagine that one moment you’re sitting there, appreciating the day in your fishing boat, minding your business and tossing a rod in the water to try and catch the big one. Maybe the fish aren’t biting but that’s okay because you’re out there just trying to have a good time and that’s exactly what’s happening as you spend some quality time with a couple people you care about. However, at a moment’s notice, with something that’s out of your control, everything changes and that relaxed feeling goes to a feeling of apprehensiveness as you’re worried about making it through the day with your life.

For this group of people who were out and about fishing, exactly that would happen and thanks to GoPros that were nearby and rolling, we get to see the entire thing unfold as another boat out in the water would end up plowing straight into them, taking their tiny fishing vessel and putting it up against a boat that looks like it may be 30 or 40 feet long and can hold a whole bunch of passengers. Long story short, if they don’t make the right move, they aren’t walking away from this one.

Luckily, everyone in the smaller boat was able to get out of the way of the accident that people on the fishing boat seem to want to attribute to distraction because of cell phone use by the other boater, however, I guess that has yet to be officially determined. What has been officially determined is that the 75-year-old driver did plow into another boater and more than five months after the crash, the people in that fishing boat continue to have problems, most notably one passenger by the name of Bryan Maess who struggles with plenty of bodily pain along with vision problems from the incident to this day. From what we understand, this individual will be pursuing a lawsuit and has already gotten the process started. The other two occupants on the boat have taken up legal counsel, from what we understand, and while they haven’t officially started to pursue a lawsuit, it appears as if it’s in the works.
