Four Iconic Cars From The Dukes Of Hazzard TV Show Auctioned Off.

Whenever we think of some of our favorite movies, as gearheads, we can’t help but wonder about the cars. Sometimes, this thought might even go so far as wondering what some of these machines would look like our very own garages. The opportunity to own a legitimate movie car doesn’t pop up all that often. However, from time to time they do show their faces. In other situations, replicas may become available. These might not be the real thing but some of them get really close. Some fans really obsess over the details and try to make these movie machines come to life.

For the fans of the Dukes of Hazard, that exact situation would pop-up this past weekend at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale. Normally, when an auction comes up like this, we’re talking simply about a replica of the General Lee. This time, though, it’s not one or two but instead four replica cars that became available. Let’s just say that the final bidder really ended up stealing these things.

For a final bid of $60,000, here’s what the winner is going home with.

  • Cooter’s wrecker, 1971 Chevrolet C30
  • Roscoe’s police car, 1975 Dodge Coronet
  • Boss Hog’s, 1975 Cadillac El Dorado Convertible
  • General Lee, 1969 Dodge Charger

Even knowing that they’re not the real deal, it seems strange to us that a lot like this would go for such a price. With the growing rarity of the 1969 Charger, it almost makes the lot worth it for that one car alone.

By following along with the video below from MotorTrend, we get to watch the cars parade across the block. These machines might not directly be a part of movie history. However, we think they’re pretty cold add to the collection. We would think that they’d make a pretty interesting conversation piece in just about any garage or car show!
