Here’s Why the 2021 Bronco Will be a Much Bigger Success Than Anyone Expects (+Exclusive First Look)

For years, we have asked ourselves why more automakers haven’t taken a shot at the Jeep Wrangler’s market share. After all, the Wrangler is continuously one of the most popular models on the market. Year after year, there have been changes but the overall design has stayed the same.

America has shown the auto market that there is a demand for a fun and basic vehicle that one could pop the doors off of and go off-roading with. It’s hard to say if it’s the capability that wins people over or the thought of just having the capability. In any case, though, it’s a model that has really proven itself over and over again.

However, in what might be one of the biggest curiosities in the automotive industry, nobody has really taken a shot at the Wrangler. In a day and age where most companies are busy ripping off the next guy’s successful design, the Wrangler has remained relatively untouched.

I guess that one could consider something like the Toyota FJ Cruiser or Toyota 4Runner the closest things available. Both of these have been rather big successes. However, neither of them, while close in purpose, are really direct competition to the Wrangler. Sure, they share the off-road capability. However, they don’t share the open top and sides that define something like the Wrangler.

This is where Ford steps in with something as fun as it is capable. In other words, a direct Wrangler competitor with a blue oval on the front.

Enter the 2021 Ford Bronco.

If it’s not already apparent, needless to say, we’re pretty excited about the Bronco. To be fair, it seems like a big chunk of the community feels the same.

This time, the folks over a Motor Trend get us much closer to the SUV in an exclusive “Super-secret” first look. In this one, we learn how the styling and capability of the Bronco really gives something like the Wrangler a run for its money.

If we were executives in the Jeep boardroom, I’m not saying that we would be shaking in our boots just yet. However, I think that it’s safe to say that the Bronco has become a major blip on the radar of one of the best-selling vehicles, year in and year out.
