How Good Could a $14k Sight-Unseen Mustang Fastback Project Actually Be?

The old school muscle car market is an interesting one. There are some amazing machines just waiting to be purchased. However, for every amazing machine, we would probably think that there is at least one really bad deal. These old school muscle machines will bring good money based on how desirable they are. Needless to say, the Ford Mustang fastback is pretty high on that desirability spectrum.

However, no matter how high the value of a car could be when in good condition, it could be worth almost nothing if it was an old rustbucket. In fact, there are lots of things that contribute to the value of a car. Aside from how rare it is, we can look at aspects like the condition and what parts are original versus what is replaced. These are just the very surface level things that somebody would look for in a car like this. The list really goes on and on if you want to pin down the value of a specific machine.

This time, we follow along with a YouTube user by the name of Classic Nation that picked up a 1967 Mustang Fastback. The interesting part of this deal is that it was all done, sight-unseen. The video uploader essentially purchased the car without seeing it in person before it was dropped off at his house. For all intents and purposes, the car could’ve been an absolute rag. On the other hand, though, perhaps an honest seller cut the buyer a decent deal. If there is one thing that we have learned about dealing with car sales, it’s truly too expect the unexpected. As somebody who has dealt a great deal in the market, I can definitely attest to the fact that people can stretch the truth out in this world. On the other hand, though, when something rare pops up, a buyer might want to hop on it even with the associated risk.

By following along with the video below, we get to join in on the excitement. As the Mustang is dropped off, it is then gone over with a fine-tooth comb. From there, we can get a good idea of what exactly a sight-unseen $14,000 fastback is going to look like.
