The NHRA is getting rolling this upcoming weekend Lucas Oil Raceway in Indy. We’re excited to say that we can’t wait to see our favorite racers get back to action.

10X entries are live, for this 900hp Vengeance build CTS-V / $50,000 in CASH!

However, for those looking to compete, Monday was the deadline for entry in the event. One key name went missing from this list as John Force allowed the deadline to come and go.

Maybe you’re thinking that it’s travel related. After all, hauling across the country in the middle of a pandemic isn’t exactly something everyone wants to do. Well, you can nix that idea as Force’s shop is located just a couple of miles from Lucas Oil Raceway where the E3 Spark Plugs Nationals will take place this weekend.

Force hasn’t really said much on the matter or if he’s planning on sitting out or retiring his team altogether. In fact, when approached for comment, a spokesperson simply deferred, saying that they won’t talk about the speculation or rumors.

What we know for sure, though, is that Indy is a no-go for the entire John Force Racing team, including himself and Robert Hight who race Funny Car along with Brittany Force and Austin Prock who participate in Top Fuel. This will mark the first time in over 50 years that either Force or a Force representative will be absent from the festivities.

We’re not here to speculate but the rumor mill has been busy.

Force or no Force, though, the show will go on. Be prepared to be hit with the ultimate adrenaline rush as the NHRA returns! There’s nothing like an all-out drag race and that’s exactly what we’re going to get!

We’re told to expect a total of 18 cars in the Top Fuel class, 18 in Funny Car, and 22 Pro Stock competitors including Speed Society’s own Alex Laughlin.

As if the hiatus doesn’t already have us pumped enough to return to racing, the video below from React104 should help span that gap! – React104
