Stevie Jackson In Shadow 2.0 Go Back To Back Wins At NHRA National Events

In case you can’t tell, we’re a little partial to Steve “Stevie Fast” Jackson around here. If you know anything at all about Jackson, you’ve know he has an impeccable gift of gab, a way with words that very few can match. I’d even go as far as to say when it comes to impromptu interviews on the top end, Stevie is right up there with Funny Car legend John Force, who built his empire around his over-the-top personality.

Another reason we have so much love for Stevie and his crew is the fact that they work hard so they can play hard. While they do have a sponsor in Bahrain1 Racing, Stevie, Phil Shuler, Jack Barbee and the rest of the team bust their asses to make the most of their opportunity, and Stevie has always had a knack for extracting every ounce of performance from his rides as long as he’s been in the game. That comes from years of making a name for himself in the grudge game in the Carolinas.

After his beloved grudge-car-turned-RvsW-badass Mustang known as Shadow took flight and “tried to kill him” at South Georgia Motorsports Park, Stevie decided to build a car just for Radial vs the World. It was basically a pro mod, with some minor tweaks to make it work better on radials compared to a big tire pro mod. However, after a top end snafu at the Charlotte 4-Wide race earlier this year took his actual pro mod Camaro out of the running, Jackson made the decision to bolt up the big tires under Shadow 2.0 to try to remain relevant in the points chase. It took a few races for them chase down all of the changes and tweaks that needed to be made, but everything came together in Indy, where Stevie won his second Pro Mod Wally at the US Nationals.

After taking that win, Jackson warned the rest of the field to watch out, and at the very next national event for the RPM Pro Mods, Stevie mowed down the class again and took his second straight Wally. Check out this interview with the beautiful Amanda Busick.
