Street Outlaws Chuck in the Deathtrap Taps The Wall at Redemption 6.0

Through the first few seasons of Street Outlaws, Chuck and his small-tire Mustang were fixtures on the show. However, as the list has grown progressively quicker and more competitive over the past few seasons, the small tire guys have found themselves on the outside looking in. Chuck, perhaps knowing what was coming, took his Death Trap off the list and made the transition to a pair of monster rear tires, giving him a better shot at remaining competitive on the Top 10 list.

While he has yet to return to action on the show, Chuck has been making some appearances as various no-prep races over the past few months. Yesterday, at Redemption 6.0 at Tulsa Raceway Park, Chuck showed up to take shot at the Old School Outlaw shootout, where he took on this nitrous-injected Camaro. They pair launch hard and are locked up in a very tight race when Chuck drifts out of the groove toward the wall. He steers the Death Trap back toward the center of his lane, but it starts skating around and nearing the wall, so Chuck shuts it down but not before smacking the wall while the Camaro noses him out to take the win.

The damage to Chuck’s hotrod is pretty minor and he may even be back in action today!
