Many times, this equipment will be hooked up with a diesel engine that’s creating all sorts of torque. Sure, you might not need to use all of that torque. However, having it on tap for whatever the job brings on could definitely prove to be useful.
This time, we dive into the concept of the cold start as it relates to these heavy-duty diesel engines. Throughout the internet, there are all sorts of cold start videos scattered about. The sound from a cold start just seems to be much more mechanical and raw. Therefore, these sorts of videos have been known to go rather viral for their audio appeal.
In this particular compilation, we check out some machines that really stand out from the pack. Some of these heavy-duty beasts need a minute to get going but once they do, they spit out an exhaust note that certainly has our attention. We aren’t quite sure that it gets much rawer than a situation like this! Some of this diesel really do provide a powerful cold start sound.
